Luxury condo offers in-home medicine to buyers

Here's an interesting new development positioning medical care along the lines of a luxury retail item. If you've got the bucks to pay for one multi-million-dollar Atlanta condo, you can get an impressive package of medical services with it, delivered in your own home.

City Centre Properties LLC of Atlanta has contracted with the city's MD on Call, a self-described "boutique practice," to give residents of The Mansion on Peachtree hotel and residences a package of basic services. These include most standard family medicine services such as throat cultures, well care and ECGs. The developer is paying MD on Call $15,000 per year, per unit for the package, developers said.

Real estate developers don't seem to be doing this elsewhere, and it may not take hold as a trend, but it's certainly an indication that developers think people miss the "good old days" of family medicine. I wonder whether that's true?
