LaserBand Expands Thermal Wristband Line

Industry Leader Introduces New ID Wristband for Narrow-Throat Printers

ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Patient identification pioneer LaserBand has created the first-ever self-laminating patient ID wristband designed for narrow-throat printers.  The new FusionBand360™ derives its name from the design of its unique, self-laminating feature, which wraps completely around the wristband for a full 360 degrees of protection against water, alcohol and other contaminants. Thanks to this innovative feature, facilities that generate FusionBand360patient ID wristbands from their narrow-throat thermal printers can be confident that critical patient information will remain protected and readable for the duration of the patient’s stay.

Along with its self-laminating feature, FusionBand360has a number of other value-added features found on all LaserBand products, for example, adhesive-free zones around the edges to prevent printer jamming and reduce costly printer maintenance.

Commenting on the launch of FusionBand360, Mark Greer, LaserBand’s Vice President of Product Development, said, “The LaserBand name is synonymous with innovative patient ID products. With the addition of FusionBand360to the FusionBand® product line, LaserBand now offers a thermal or laser printed patient ID solution for every healthcare application.”

Dedicated to providing the best possible patient identification solutions, LaserBand is the industry leader in innovative product designs. LaserBand has more than twice as many patient ID wristband patents as all of its competitors combined, so the FusionBand360™ and its pending patents will join a long list of LaserBand innovations.
