Kindred Healthcare Issues 2009 Quality and Social Responsibility Report

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Kindred Healthcare, Inc. (the “Company”) (NYSE:KND) today announced that it has issued its 2009 Quality and Social Responsibility Report. The report outlines the Company’s progress in improving quality indicators, clinical outcomes and customer satisfaction.

The report highlights a few of the Company’s achievements in improving the lives of its patients and residents, including:

  • The Company has continued to reduce employee turnover and increase retention.
  • Our Hospitals have made steady progress in improving customer satisfaction and clinical outcomes as measured against national benchmarks.
