iNexx Shakes Up New Orleans at MGMA 2010 Annual Conference

Medicity Showcases Its Innovative, Proven, Open Platform for Care Collaboration to Medical Group Practices

NEW ORLEANS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- (MGMA) -- Medicity, the standard for health information exchange (HIE) solutions nationwide, showcases iNexx this week with live demonstrations at the MGMA 2010 Annual Conference. Introduced earlier this year, iNexx is an open technology platform for health information exchange that enables physician practices and other providers to better coordinate patient care. Following successful iNexx rollouts in Michigan and Texas, Medicity brings the celebration to New Orleans with an invitation-only iNexx launch event at the conference.

iNexx enables the secure exchange of information between authorized providers while creating a virtual care team record that provides a coherent view of patient information across all members of the care team. Built on Medicity’s Novo Grid, iNexx serves as the operating environment for a new generation of modular applications that leverage the platform’s information, connectivity, and services to achieve significant functionality at low cost. These modular applications are being created by third-party app developers and Medicity.

“We are excited by how providers have embraced iNexx,” explains Kipp Lassetter, M.D., Medicity’s CEO. “We have practices that are running our initial apps on the iNexx platform and finding valuable uses for the platform that we didn’t even anticipate. We also have more apps in development that address meaningful use requirements.”

Conference attendees are invited to visit Medicity booth #1644, October 25-26, 2010, for a demonstration of iNexx and its meaningful use capabilities.
