Implantable Provider Group Announces Expansion of Their Implantable Device Benefit Management Solution into the Hospital O

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Implantable Provider Group (IPG) is pleased to announce an expansion of their Florida Device Benefit Management (DBM) program to the hospital market. The program has been successfully deployed across statewide, free-standing ambulatory surgery centers, and has demonstrated predictable and measurable positive results. Due to the effective adoption of the program, and interest expressed by these entities, IPG is deploying the same program for statewide hospital outpatient facilities in Florida.

IPG will handle device coordination, billing, replacement, tracking, and other services for the Hospital Outpatient Department (HOPD) network. Opportunities to participate in the new reimbursement model using IPG will be made available to HOPD’s throughout the state of Florida.

The utilization of implantable devices represents a significant expense to hospitals. By partnering with IPG, participating HOPDs are relieved of the financial burden of the implant, thereby increasing cash flow and efficiencies, while simultaneously affording them access to high quality implantable devices. With the increasing complexity of device related claims, IPG’s expansion into the hospital setting will provide those members with the industry expertise to assist in gaining visibility and managing the overall process.

“IPG was able to successfully implement the largest statewide initiative of its kind in the industry, with actuarially validated and proven results, and we are excited to replicate the efficiencies and benefits we were able to demonstrate in the ASC environment into the hospital setting, assisting the HOPDs in effectively managing their implantable device program,” said Jay Ethridge, President and Chief Executive Officer for IPG.

IPG streamlines the management and delivery of implantable medical devices by working directly with commercial insurance payors, clinical providers and facilities, and medical device manufacturers through its Device Benefit Management (DBM) program. The DBM program eliminates the complexity and the financial risks associated with the billing and reimbursement processes for providers, ensuring that patients maintain access to innovative life-saving and life-enhancing device-intensive medical therapies.
