iMDsoft’s Critical Care Solution Chosen for Centegra Health System, Illinois

The MetaVision clinical information system for ICUs will complement GE’s hospital-wide solution

NEEDHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- iMDsoft®, a leader in clinical information systems, announced today that Centegra Health System in Illinois has chosen to implement MetaVision® in a total of 113 beds, in its ICUs and across all monitored beds. Centegra Health System, a leading regional health network, is comprised of Centegra Hospital-Woodstock and Centegra Hospital-McHenry, and is the community’s largest employer.

MetaVision will complement the hospital-wide EMR solution provided by GE that Centegra is already using. The system is designed especially for critical care environments and has proven expertise in managing complex clinical data, making it the ideal solution for these high-need, data-rich environments.

MetaVision collects, presents, stores, and analyzes the vast amount of patient-related data generated in the ICU, and has advanced tools for decision support, clinical assessment, treatment, and care planning. Installed in hundreds of ICUs worldwide, MetaVision has proven itself to be an invaluable tool for critical care management, and has successfully improved quality of care and increased financial outcomes all over the globe.

While examining potential patient data management systems, Centegra was impressed by MetaVision’s ability to seamlessly integrate with the hospital IT infrastructure. The system interfaces with hospital systems such as ADT, Labs, CPOE, billing, scheduling, PACS, and LDAP, while fully complementing a hospital’s overall IT strategy. The MetaVision library of drivers contains over 200 medical devices, and additional drivers are continually being developed to meet customer requirements.

“Our 15 years of experience in critical care makes MetaVision the perfect match for the strong, hospital-wide system Centegra is already using from GE,” said Phyllis Gotlib, CEO, iMDsoft. “Customers using our system consistently report high-impact results, including significantly reduced mortality, complete elimination of ICU prescription errors, and drastically improved protocol compliance. We trust that Centegra will realize these benefits soon after implementation.”
