HyGreen, Inc. to Demonstrate Hand Hygiene System at the 19th Annual AHA Leadership Summit

GAINESVILLE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- HyGreen, Inc. announces that it will showcase its hand hygiene system, HyGreen®, at the 19th Annual American Hospital Association Leadership Summit held July 17-19, 2011 in San Diego, CA. The Summit highlights the most effective and efficient approaches for hospitals and health systems to integrate care and improve financial and clinical performance along the continuum of care.

HyGreen, Inc. will demonstrate its real-time electronic hand hygiene recording and reminding system at booth #312. HyGreen® is designed to remind healthcare workers to wash their hands while recording all interactions in a database. This gives hospitals the means to provide objective feedback to individual healthcare workers, reinforce good hand hygiene behaviors, and improve quality of care.

"Changes in Medicare regulations have, and will continue to reduce payments to hospitals for fees associated with hospital associated infections," says HyGreen CEO Craig T. Davenport. "AHA attendees will have a unique opportunity to learn more about how HyGreen® can significantly reduce these HAI costs while improving quality and overall patient safety at their hospitals."

A recent study conducted by Miami Children’s Hospital showed an 89% reduction in infections with their only change in practice being the use of the HyGreen® system. See video.

HyGreen® was designed to reflect guidelines from leading industry experts, including those from the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC), the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Joint Commission.

On Tuesday, June 12th, at 4:00pm EDT, HyGreen, Inc. will be holding a webinar on the HyGreen Hand Hygiene Recording and Reminding System. To sign up for the webinar or find more information on HyGreen, logon to www.HyGreenInc.com.
