Responding to the need for a nursing education model that addresses the challenges of a complex healthcare system, two industry leaders establish the . The will focus on advancing global excellence in nursing education and preparing the highly skilled nurses of the future to elevate the level of patient care in an increasingly diversified population.

“Successful patient care delivery is dependent upon continuous investment in the faculty who educate nurses,” said Patricia E. Thompson, RN, EdD, FAAN, chief executive officer of . “The members of Chamberlain’s Phi Pi chapter of STTI are a diverse group who provides leadership in healthcare to their communities and throughout the country. Now, coming together to form this center of excellence, STTI and Chamberlain demonstrate continued commitment to elevating nursing education.”

The STTI/Chamberlain Center will provide career and leadership development for nurse educators; create resources and events related to excellence in nursing education; implement an Emerging Educational Administrator Program; and develop programs to promote nursing education globally. A volunteer advisory board of 10 nurse leaders will provide guidance on the center’s programs.
