HIMSS and American Society for Quality Invite You to Share Your Health IT Stories of Success

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- HIMSS and co-sponsor American Society for Quality (ASQ) are actively seeking real-world success stories to be peer-reviewed for consideration as Stories of Success! Case Studies. ASQ is co-sponsoring the project; a representative from the National Quality Forum, The Joint Commission, and National Committee for Quality Assurance serve on the case study review group.

Purpose of the Program: Emphasizing the link between improvements in healthcare quality and patient safety and health information technology, The Stories of Success! program highlights and demonstrates how health IT has been leveraged to fulfill national patient safety recommendations of the National Priorities Partnership (NPP) and The Joint Commission’s National Patient Safety Goals (NPSG).

Program Details:

  • ASQ is co-sponsoring the project; a representative from the National Quality Forum and The Joint Commission served on the case study review group.
  • The Stories of Success! program showcases outstanding accomplishments in the adoption and use of information technology to achieve improved patient safety, quality, effectiveness and efficiency.
  • HIMSS and ASQ selected six, Tier 1 case studies, and 10, Tier 2 case studies, in the first call. Review the list.
