LANCASTER, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Heart of Lancaster Regional and Lancaster Regional Medical Centers announced today that they have entered into an agreement with Aegis Health Group to have Aegis provide its business development strategies and expertise to the two facilities.
The Aegis program, currently in place at leading medical centers around the country, will provide a vehicle for these two hospitals to partner with local employers to better manage the health of their workforces and, by doing so, reduce employers’ rising health-related costs. Using data gathered through personal health profiles provided by Aegis, at-risk employees will be matched with appropriate early detection, prevention and education initiatives offered by the hospitals.

As part of the agreement, Aegis will provide the hospitals with proprietary tools, computer software, employee health reports, and employer-based health information centers all directed toward improving health, controlling costs and establishing the hospitals as the “go-to” destinations for the communities’ healthcare needs. Aegis will also provide an employer relations specialist housed at each of the hospital campuses to oversee this innovative program on a day-to-day basis.
