Throughout his career, he has demonstrated his ability to make sound decisions, think critically and build teamwork across departments. This is imperative for Healthland as we build upon our leadership in the critical access hospital market and continue our efforts to transform community healthcare.”

In addition, Spangler served in senior management positions at both Medtronic and Tonka Corporation.

“Healthland is the market leader in healthcare IT for rural hospitals across the country,” said Spangler. “As we continue to grow and expand the business, I will contribute to the success of the organization by ensuring we invest in the right strategies, conduct our affairs in a compliant and ethical manner, and adopt best-in-practice disciplines. Healthland is a values-driven organization and I couldn’t be happier to join this talented group of professionals working to make a difference in rural healthcare.”

Spangler holds a B.S. in accounting and an M.B.T. from the University of Minnesota and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. He is currently on the board of directors of Urologix, Inc. and was rated one of the top among Minnesota's large public companies in 2007.
