HCA collects for other hospitals

When HCA kicked off its service collecting accounts receivable for non-HCA affiliated hospitals, the industry wasn't sure it would work. About 15 months later, however, National Patient Account Services seems to have proved them wrong. Right now, more than 10 percent of its revenue comes from non-HCA facilities, and the division expects to double its external customer base each year for the next several years, largely because outside hospitals need help with self-pay accounts.
