Halleland Health Consulting Hires New Director of Lifescience Business Development Peter T. Bianco

MINNEAPOLIS, May 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Halleland Health Consulting, a wholly owned subsidiary of Minneapolis law firm Halleland Lewis Nilan & Johnson, P.A., announces the hire of Peter T. Bianco as Director of Lifescience Business Development. In addition to coaching bioscience businesses through start-up and growth challenges with the consulting subsidiary, Bianco's work will also be integrated with the law firm's health care and business practice areas.

Bianco comes to the firm after serving as the president of Bioscience Business Development, LLC, where he provided strategic business development for early-stage and large businesses focused on a variety of medical technologies and related services with specific focus on successful early stage lifescience technology commercialization and the financial and physical infrastructure to support it.

Prior to that, he served as the chief executive officer of University Enterprise Laboratories in St. Paul, Minn. His previous experience also includes over ten years in Orthopedic product management, product development engineering and medical device marketing for medical device giant Johnson & Johnson Professional, Inc. and Dow Corning Wright. He began his career in Orthopedic Biomechanics Research at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. and Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minn.

He is a founder and board member of Suffolk University's Center for Innovation and Change Leadership (CICL) in Boston, Mass. where he earned his MBA. He received his bachelor's degree in physiology from the University of Minnesota. He serves as vice chairman of the board of directors for the Midwest Orthopedic Research Foundation (MORF) and is a member of the business advisory board for the Regulatory and Clinical Research Institute (RCRI) and Orthopedic Research Society (ORS). Peter currently resides in St. Paul, Minn. with his family.
