Groups create eight-state PPO in Western U.S.

A group of Western U.S. provider groups have come together to create a PPO spanning eight states. The PPO, VentureNet Healthcare, is a partnership between the Arizona Foundation for Medical Care, First Choice Health, HealthCare Direct and Universal Health Network/Nevada Preferred Professionals. The new PPO brings together 93,000 providers, 670 hospitals and 10,000 ancillary services providers spanning Alaska, Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. Pitching itself to multi-state employers, VentureNet will offer not only care, but also benefit management-friendly services such as utilization management, disease management, employee assistance programs and health savings accounts.
