Greenway Medical Technologies and RelayHealth Connect Physicians with Health Systems to Receive Test Results

ATLANTA--(Business Wire)--
Physicians using Greenway Medical Technologies` electronic health record (EHR)
solution, PrimeSuite®, now have access to lab results, radiology reports and
transcribed documents from their community health system through RelayHealth`s
Virtual Information Exchange platform. The offering is another step in the
partnership between RelayHealth, a leading provider of healthcare connectivity
services, and Greenway Medical Technologies, a leading integrated provider of
ambulatory and clinical research business solutions and services. The two
organizations are working together to create a seamless data information
exchange that encourages Greenway® customers nationwide to join the RelayHealth
network.

Patient lab results can automatically flow into PrimeSuite, through Greenway`s
PrimeExchange®interoperability engine, without the need for dedicated and costly
point-to-point interfaces between hospitals and physician offices. Physician
users can then release results to patients` personal health records, enhancing
the patient-provider relationship and promoting patient satisfaction.

"Considering the national momentum encouraging health information exchanges,
acute-to-ambulatory connectivity and the meaningful use of electronic health
records, this innovation could not have come at a better time," said Justin
Barnes, vice president of marketing and government affairs at Greenway Medical
Technologies. "Through RelayHealth, Greenway customers have access to the
clinical information needed to provide the highest quality of care to patients
while readying their practices to qualify for the federal government`s health IT
incentives."

Physicians who have not yet deployed an electronic health record can access
hospital results and reports through RelayHealth`s connectivity platform via a
results viewer. For physicians already using EHRs, they have the ability to have
this data go directly into their EHR workflow, reducing inefficiencies and costs
related to paper reports and facilitating the exchange of information among
providers. RelayHealth`s results management capability is also attractive to
hospitals, which can deliver test results immediately and save money by
eliminating the need for couriers, faxes and multiple interfaces with physician
practices.

Gregory Mulford, M.D., president of Associates in Rehabilitation Medicine, a
large physical medicine and rehabilitation group affiliated with Atlantic
Health`s Morristown Memorial and Overlook Hospitals, has been a Greenway
PrimeSuite EHR customer for nearly two years. Dr. Mulford and his nine
associates will soon have access to hospital results via the RelayHealth
network, which has been implemented by Atlantic Health, one of the largest
nonprofit hospital systems in New Jersey.

"Our commitment to the implementation of a fully integrated EHR solution will be
greatly enhanced by the RelayHealth-Greenway interoperability," said Dr.
Mulford. "We`ve had great success with Greenway`s PrimeSuite thus far. The
ability to use our EHR to seamlessly access all of the available critical
clinical information from our hospitals will further improve the efficiency and
effectiveness of our workflow. Our physicians and staff are very excited to
begin receiving results because we are convinced that the new interoperability
will improve the quality and ease of care delivery."

"It`s exciting that Greenway users like Dr. Mulford can now receive results
directly in their EHRs," said Linda Reed, Atlantic Health`s vice president of
information systems and chief information officer. "Having the ability to offer
connectivity to any physician in our community gets reports into physicians`
hands more quickly. In turn, they can use that data to make better informed
decisions that invariably lead to better outcomes."

"We value our relationship with Greenway Medical because they share our mission
of giving physicians simplified access to data and applications to facilitate
the exchange of results among hospitals, physicians and patients," said Jim
Bodenbender, president of RelayHealth`s Provider and Consumer Solutions.
"RelayHealth also facilitates results and other data sharing between hospitals
and physicians to go directly to patients, enabling their increased involvement
in their care and closer alignment with their care providers."
