Frontier Communications and the American Red Cross Announce New Partnership in Oregon and Washington

Frontier and the American Red Cross keep communities connected and prepared

EVERETT, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Frontier Communications (NYSE: FTR) and the American Red Cross are partnering to promote public safety and crisis preparation in Oregon and Washington. Through the end of the year, the communities Frontier serves in these states will see enhanced support of CPR/AED (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/Automated External Defibrillator) safety training, blood services, preparedness education and Service to Armed Forces.

“Frontier’s Values embody local engagement and giving back to the communities we serve. Few groups know the importance of neighbor helping neighbor than the American Red Cross,” said Denise Baumbach, President of Frontier’s West Region. “Like the Red Cross, Frontier is always available to help communities through a crisis. This partnership takes our relationship with the Red Cross to the next level. The initiatives we are focused upon address universal needs. They are basic yet extraordinarily essential services that can save many lives.”

Frontier and the American Red Cross are partnering through year-end to offer free safety training classes, give-a-ways at community blood drives, emergency preparedness educational materials and programs focused on the special needs of the families of those in active military service. In addition, as new customers sign up for Frontier High Speed Internet, Digital Phone and Peace of Mind PC support services, through the Great Frontier Donate the company will contribute up to $85 to the customer’s local chapter of the Red Cross.

"Frontier's partnership will enable the Red Cross to help more Oregonians and Washingtonians learn key life-saving skills," said Maree Wacker, Chief Executive Officer for the Oregon Trail Chapter of the American Red Cross. "The Great Frontier Donate will be especially helpful in funding vital Red Cross services that keep our communities safe and prepared."

The Great Frontier Donate is just one way Frontier supports our local non-profits,” said Baumbach. “We hope to raise at least $45,000 for local Oregon and Washington Red Cross chapters.”
