Fit4D.com's Fall Webinars Feature Topics from Cycling to Yoga for People with Diabetes at All Fitness Levels

Six-time Ironman winner Dave Scott, a triathlete, is co-presenting the first, Cycling with Diabetes, on Tuesday, October 2nd from 7-8:30p.m. EDT, along with Delaine Wright, a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) and Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist. This seminar is being presented in collaboration with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) in preparation for the JDRF Ride to Cure in Death Valley.

Fill Up With Pep: Using Yoga To Fuel Your Life, is scheduled for October 3rd at 7 p.m. EDT. Instructor Michele Risa of BeyondBody Yoga will focus on energy production and breath work to strengthen the immune system. Delaine Wright, CDE, RCEP will also discuss how yoga helps maintain appropriate blood sugar levels during exercise.

Midsection weight gain will be addressed in "ABS-olutely! My Midsection Matters on Thursday, October 25th from 7-8:30 p.m. EDT. Fit4Dâ„¢ exercise specialists will discuss techniques to reduce excess weight and strengthen abs, the effect of abdominal girth on insulin resistance and the link between Type 2 diabetes and heart disease.

Nutritionist Susan Meeke will discuss holiday-related issues on November 15 at 7 p.m. during "Turkey, Stuffing & Pie, Oh My! Diabetes during the Holidays." Topics will include lifestyle strategies for blood sugar control, baking and cooking with sweeteners and calculating carbohydrates in traditional recipes.

During a webinar, participants watch a Power Point presentation on their computer while listening to the presenter by phone. Participants can question the experts via phone and using on-line tools. Queries are discussed on the call.
