Average base salary for CEOs across industries is $338,300 per year, up 1.6 percent from 2010, according to an executive compensation survey from Compdata Surveys. Presidents receive an average of $248,600, up from $241,900 in the previous year. Chief financial officers see an average of $201,800, up 1.7 percent.
"Though salaries for most executive jobs have begun to rebound, a few still have not yet reached levels seen prior to the recession," said Amy Kaminski, director of marketing for Compdata Surveys.
