EPMG and EMBI Partner to Provide EDs with Digital Dashboards

Emergency Physicians Medical Group and Emergency Medicine Business Intelligence have partnered to expand the application of next-generation performance dashboards in emergency medicine

ANN ARBOR, Mich., Aug. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Emergency Physicians Medical Group (EPMG) and Emergency Medicine Business Intelligence (EMBI) are pleased to announce that effective June 11, 2012, the two organizations have formed a new partnership which will allow EPMG to offer a powerful, easy-to-use emergency department performance dashboard and analytics solution to its hospital partners.

Rodney Smith, MD, EPMG's Chief Medical Officer, notes, "Our new ability to offer the EMBI dashboard to our hospital partners empowers emergency department directors and hospital leaders by delivering comprehensive analytics so together we can make process improvements needed to enhance the emergency department experience for the patient."

The EMBI Dashboard will allow EPMG to provide its hospital clients a webpage to access all their key performance indicators related to emergency department efficiency, productivity, staffing, satisfaction, test utilization, financial performance, crowding, and more.  Emergency department stakeholders will get a 360 degree view of their key metrics because the solution integrates data from multiple internal and external data sources.

Scott Richards, EMBI's Chief Executive Officer and co-founder, describes their solution as a powerful enabler for emergency departments. "We leverage industry-leading business intelligence toolsets to provide our customers web-based, on demand, key performance metrics they need to manage their operations and business.   Performance dashboards give them a graphical, high-level 'how are we doing' context.  With one or two more clicks they can access more details behind each metric so they can manage the issues impacting their performance."
