EDIMS 2.6 Receives ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 Certification

LIVINGSTON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- EDIMS LLC, a leading provider of interoperable emergency department information systems (EDIS) for hospitals, announced today that its emergency department electronic health record (EHR), EDIMS 2.6, is 2011/2012 compliant and was certified as an EHR Module on Oct. 22, 2010 by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®), an ONC-ATCB, in accordance with the applicable hospital certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The 2011/2012 criteria support the Stage 1 meaningful use measures required to qualify eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

“We have found that hospitals are now seeking out a certified emergency department EHR solution to help their facilities meet the requirements outlined in the final rules for Meaningful Use, and we are thrilled that we can now provide this to our clients,” said Shane Hade, CEO of EDIMS. “Our clients have stated that our robust and highly intuitive CPOE module is an invaluable and unique component that will play a key role in helping them qualify for these EHR incentives. We believe that this, coupled with our system’s ability to improve productivity, charge capture and clinician satisfaction, will help our clients enhance patient care while boosting the bottom line.”

The ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification program tests and certifies that Complete EHRs meet all of the 2011/2012 criteria and EHR Modules meet one or more – but not all – of the criteria approved by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) for either eligible provider or hospital technology.

“CCHIT is pleased to be testing and certifying products so that companies are now able to offer these products to providers who wish to purchase and implement certified EHR technology and achieve meaningful use in time for the 2011-2012 incentives,” said Karen M. Bell, M.D., M.S.S., Chair, CCHIT.

EDIMS 2.6 certification number is CC-1112-430980-1. ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification conferred by CCHIT does not represent an endorsement of the certified EHR technology by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services nor does it guarantee the receipt of incentive payments.
