DOJ: States must continue to implement reform

Confusion over whether the healthcare reform should proceed has prompted the Justice Department to ask U.S. District Judge Roger Vinson to clarify that states must carry out provisions of the healthcare overhaul while his ruling goes through appeals, the Associated Press reports. On Jan. 31, Vinson ruled that President Obama's entire healthcare reform law was unconstitutional. While indusdtry observers have agreed that the broad challenge will likely be resolved by the Supreme Court, some states, citing Judge Vinson's ruling, refuse to follow the law. Article
