Acquisition Adds Innovative Cardiology Services to Growing DLP Healthcare Network
DURHAM, N.C. & BRENTWOOD, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- DLP Healthcare, LLC, a joint venture of Duke University Health System and LifePoint Hospitals®, today announced that it has acquired the North Carolina cardiac catheterization operations of MedCath Partners, LLC, an affiliate of MedCath Corporation. The acquired assets will be operated by DLP Cardiac Partners, which will provide cardiac catheterization services across the state of North Carolina, including hospital-based catheterization labs and mobile catheterization services.

Through this acquisition, DLP Cardiac Partners takes ownership of six permanent and three mobile cardiac catheterization laboratories. Nine associated Certificate of Need exemptions have been transferred to DLP Cardiac Partners.
