NASHVILLE, TN (January 12, 2008) - Cumberland Consulting Group, a national consulting firm providing technology implementation services to the healthcare industry, today announced a new contract with Grace Hill Neighborhood Health Centers, Inc. to implement a practice management, electronic medical record and dental record system in all six of its clinics and two management offices. Cumberland will be providing project management and implementation support services.
The St. Louis-based organization, Grace Hill, will be dedicating the next eight months to implementing new systems for improving the quality of primary care provided to the city's low-income neighborhoods.
"Grace Hill is leveraging new software to improve patient outcomes, increase efficiency, standardize processes, reduce costs, and improve billing and reporting standards," said Grace Hill Vice President and CIO Craig Glover.
In April 2008, Grace Hill contracted with Cumberland to lead a software package selection project to support practice management, electronic medical records and dental functions. The software selection was completed at the end of May.
Thomas A. Hogenkamp, Cumberland engagement director for Grace Hill, sees the new system as boosting efficiency and driving productivity at Grace Hill while cutting costs.
"Grace Hill is looking to replace its custom software with a commercial application and transfer the maintenance responsibility to the vendor so its team of professionals can focus on providing quality healthcare," said Hogenkamp.
