Conifer Health Solutions Partners with Memorial University Medical Center to Provide Revenue Cycle Services

FRISCO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Conifer Health Solutions, a leader in business process solutions for healthcare providers, has reached a multi-year agreement to provide revenue cycle services to Memorial University Medical Center (MUMC), a 530-bed academic medical center in Savannah, Georgia. Under terms of the agreement, Conifer will be responsible for Memorial’s Patient Access, Health Information Management (HIM) and Business Office Services effective immediately.

MUMC President and CEO Margaret Gill said the medical center made the decision to partner with Conifer as part of its plan to improve the way it does business. She said that bringing in an established revenue cycle management company will help MUMC create the financial security and stability it needs so its staff can continue to focus on fulfilling its mission to the community.

“Given the current financial challenges facing Memorial University Medical Center, we need immediate help for our revenue cycle,” said Gill. “We believe Conifer has the depth and breadth of talent to help us meet the challenges we are facing. They have more than three decades of experience successfully managing the revenue cycle for hospitals and healthcare systems across the country, and we are confident that partnering with them will help us stabilize our financial situation so we can continue to serve our patients, their families and the community.”

Conifer will utilize its revenue cycle expertise, proprietary processes and patented workflows to maximize yield for MUMC, which in turn will allow the hospital to continue their focus on delivering high-quality healthcare and superior patient and physician experiences.

“We are very excited to have the opportunity to work with Memorial, and we greatly appreciate the confidence they are showing in us,” says Stephen Mooney, president of Revenue Cycle Solutions for Conifer Health Solutions. “We are confident we can make a positive difference in their results as we support and serve their patients.”
