In addition, Cogent HMG has benefited from a proprietary rules database that not only monitors and practice management activity in real-time, but also flags mistakes and fixes them based on best practices and knowledge that is constantly advanced through input from all athenahealth customers. “Our desire to innovate has always been a clear differentiator for Cogent HMG in hospital medicine and critical care and helps us to fulfill our commitment to help transform America’s health care system,” said Dr. Ron Greeno, Chief Medical Officer of Cogent HMG. “Our nation’s health system is strengthened by the automation of certain services, including those delivered by athenahealth, that return to us lost time and resources that can be applied to our areas of strength. Through this partnership, we are reimagining the primary role that technology can play to enhance provider-patient interactions for our hospital partners across the nation.”
In addition, Cogent HMG has invited Jonathan Bush, Chairman and CEO of athenahealth, to join the Cogent HMG Innovation (CHI) Committee.
