CliniComp Intl. Expands EMR Install Base in First Quarter 2010

Rapid Deployments Reflect Rising Momentum for Essentris EMR

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- CliniComp Intl., a global provider of mission critical clinical documentation systems, announced today that three more hospitals have deployed the Essentris® EMR™ in first quarter 2010. These latest concurrent implementations are part of the company’s contract with the Department of Defense (DoD) to provide enterprise-wide inpatient clinical documentation.

Over a two-month period, CliniComp implemented Essentris at the following U.S. Army and Navy military treatment facilities:

  • Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, went live in Behavioral Health, Mother Baby Unit, Labor & Delivery, Med-Surg, Nursery, and Same Day Surgery.
  • Robert E. Bush Naval Hospital, Twentynine Palms, Calif., installed Essentris in Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Med-Surg, Mother Baby Unit, and Same Day Surgery.
  • Ireland Army Community Hospital, Ft. Knox, Ky., is using the solution in the Intensive Care Unit, Labor & Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum, Med-Surg and Post Anesthesia Care Unit.

“These rapid deployments reflect CliniComp’s ability to concurrently configure, train and deploy clinical information systems across several units supporting some of the most complex clinical areas at multiple facilities,” said Alan Portela, CliniComp’s President. “As hospitals prepare for meaningful use, they can turn to and rely on CliniComp’s 26 years of EMR implementation experience to fill the clinical automation gaps in their high acuity areas quickly and comprehensively.”
