Cleveland Clinic acquires cancer center, expands specialty affiliations

Furthering its specialty expansion, Cleveland Clinic acquired Ohio treatment center North Coast Cancer Care for the Clinic's leading Taussic Cancer Institute, reports The Plain Dealer. With three locations, North Coast Cancer Care sees nearly 5,000 patients per year in the Ohio area. Through the merger (for an undisclosed amount), the Clinic will provide the North Coast Cancer Foundation $500,000 in total funding during the next five years to support cancer education programs and community outreach.

"We see the Clinic's cancer program growing in depth," said Dr. Steven Roshon, former North Coast Cancer Care president and current department chair. Article
