CHS Opens Full-Service Onsite Health Center for Seaboard Foods

New Clinic to Provide Convenient, Quality Health Care to Over 5,000 Employees and Dependents

RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Comprehensive Health Services (CHS), headquartered in Reston, VA, announces continued expansion of its full-service onsite health centers nationwide. CHS’ HybridHealth™ onsite health clinics, which utilize the company’s proprietary onsite health technology, Optic™, have been selected by Seaboard Foods, a division of Seaboard Corporation, for predictive, preemptive health care and health-related risk management.

Opening this week, the all new Seaboard Foods workforce health facility will be conveniently located near the company’s processing plant in Guymon, OK. CHS will develop primary care programs and services for Seaboard’s employees, as well as dependants two years of age and over, to include preventative care and screenings, urgent and episodic care, disease management and health coaching.

The new clinic will also provide occupational care such as pre-employment screenings and care of the injured worker. Health risk management, health coaching, well child, well woman, and diagnostic laboratory services will also be available.

The 3,200 square foot facility will have five examination rooms including one dedicated to pediatric care in an efficient floor plan that supports privacy. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday with some evening and Saturday hours available to provide convenient access to patients. An open house for employees and their families was held on April 15-16, 2010.

CHS Director of Health and Wellness Monica Byrd commented, “Through our personalized approach, CHS specially-trained Health Coaches utilize assessment and behavior change tools, as well as educational materials, to motivate participants to identify individual drivers and learn techniques to take charge of their health. Participants complete biometric screening and health assessments which cover topics such as health, nutrition, stress management, and willingness to change behavior. Wellness outcome and behavioral goals are set collaboratively by the coach and the participant. Telephonic or face-to-face follow up coaching is conducted until participants reach their desired behavioral and outcome goals. This is as an important part of the CHS health care system.”

Seaboard Foods is another site in the nationally expanding implementation of Optic™, CHS’ evolving technology for wireless and paperless electronic medical records (EMR). The Optic™ platform provides a single access point to a patient’s complete EMR, including e-prescriptions, laboratory results, referral management, appointment scheduling, health education materials and billing information.
