EMERYVILLE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- CEP America, one of the nation's largest providers of emergency department (ED) management and staffing solutions, announces the addition of St. Joseph and Redwood Memorial Hospitals, part of the St. Joseph Health System, in Humboldt County, California to its growing list of hospital emergency departments throughout the U.S. CEP America was the first organization to develop and implement Rapid Medical EvaluationTM Program.
The signed contract is effective November 1, 2010 and is the latest emergency department partnership for in 2010. In addition to the EDs, CEP America will also manage and staff the Urgent Care Clinic at St. Joseph Hospital and St. Joseph Works, an occupational health clinic.

St. Joseph Hospital is a 189-bed acute care hospital in Eureka, CA and has an ED volume of roughly 25,000 patients per year. Redwood Memorial Hospital is a 35-bed acute care hospital in Fortuna, CA and has an ED volume of roughly 14,000 patients per year.
