CareView Communications, Inc. Contracts with Heartland Energy Partners to Target Department of Veteran Affairs

LEWISVILLE, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- CareView Communications, Inc. ("CareView" or the "Company") (OTCQB: CRVW), an information technology provider to the healthcare industry, announced today that it contracted with Heartland Energy Partners to represent the Company and its products to the Department of Veteran Affairs. Heartland Energy Partners ("Heartland") provides business and technology solutions to government and commercial clients by helping clients effectively develop and manage programs and assets in the fields of energy and environment, information technology, infrastructure protection, and healthcare.

Mansfield, Former Deputy Secretary of Veterans Affairs, serves on Heartland's Advisory Board. Mansfield was nominated to serve as Deputy Secretary of the VA by President George W. Bush on November 3, 2003, was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on January 22, 2004 and served until the end of his term in January 2009. He previously served as VA Assistant Secretary for Congressional and Legislative Affairs and Acting Secretary of Veteran Affairs. Prior to his appointment, Mansfield served as the legislative advisor to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs and was responsible for Congressional relations and for representing programs, policies, investigations and legislative agenda to Congress. He previously served as executive director of the Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) where he oversaw daily operations of PVA's national office in Washington, D.C. Mansfield is a decorated war veteran who was medically retired by the U.S. Army at the grade of Captain and who received the Distinguished Service Cross, the Bronze Star, two Purple Hearts, the Combat Infantryman Badge and the Presidential Unit Citation.

Under the Heartland agreement, Heartland and Secretary Mansfield will work with the Company to develop a strategy to raise the profile of CareView within the Department of Veteran Affairs and to raise awareness of the value that the Company's offerings related to patient safety for veterans.
