Business Roundtable Statement on House Repeal of 1099 Provision

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- We commend the House for its swift repeal of the 1099 mandate as part of the passage of H.R. 705.

The repeal of 1099 illustrates how Congress can refine and improve health care reform so that businesses in all sectors can continue to compete, innovate and create jobs.

This is a great common ground issue where business and the President are aligned. We look forward to continuing to work with President Obama and the Administration to implement health care reforms that will ensure continued quality, increased efficiency and cost reduction for American families and workers.
