Axion Health Releases Automated Reporting to Comply with National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) Requirements.

DENVER, Oct. 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Starting January 1, 2013 the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) will require healthcare personnel (HCP) influenza vaccination reporting for the 2012-2013 season for certain types of healthcare facilities. Data will be reported to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) surveillance system.

Hospitals participating in the CMS Hospital Inpatient Quality Reporting program are required to submit their data within the revised influenza module.

Axion Health has established an electronic reporting process within ReadySet, its healthcare focused SaaS-based platform. Customers can simply run a report in their ReadySet system to accurately and quickly aggregate all the data required by the NHSN.

This report joins a comprehensive set of regulatory and compliance reports offered by ReadySet, easing the burden of reporting for time-stretched healthcare administrators and clinicians.

More About NHSN
The NHSN is a secure, internet-based surveillance system that integrates and expands legacy patient and healthcare personnel safety surveillance systems managed by the Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion (DHQP). This surveillance network has been in effect since 2008 and now includes government-mandated reporting requirements for hospitals submitting Medicare.
