AVA Foundation for Education and Research Receives Major Grant from Association for Vascular Access

The today announced it has received $200,000 from the Association for Vascular Access (AVA). This action underlines the support from AVA and its members for the foundation and its mission of saving lives through risk-free vascular access.

“We are extremely grateful to AVA and its board for their continued belief in the AVA Foundation,” said Denise Macklin, BSN, RNC, VA-BC, president of the foundation's board of directors. “In particular, this support enables the foundation to establish a $100,000 endowment fund. The endowment will play an essential role in helping us attract other grants that are crucial to our long-term success.”

The remainder of the money granted the AVA Foundation will be used in large part to:
