ATLAS and New York-Based OmniMD Partner in Nationwide Network Solution

CALABASAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Atlas Development Corporation today announced that OmniMD™, a leading New York-based EHR (Electronic Health Record) vendor, has joined the iOn™ network to improve connectivity between hospitals, commercial laboratories and physician EMR/EHR customers.

The partnership seeks to address a growing number of interface requests by OmniMD physician clients who are keen to achieve ‘Meaningful Use’ objectives.

The iOn network service allows labs and EMR / EHR vendors to connect to each other in a fraction of the time it takes using conventional point-to-point integration solutions typically used today. Powered by technology from ATLAS, labs on the iOn network will now be able to get clean, complete orders and deliver results to physicians using OmniMD EHR.

OmniMD Integrated EHR offers unparalleled reliability, ease-of-use, efficiency, interoperability and customizability. OmniMD Version 11.0 is an ONC-ATCB 2011- 2012 certified EHR. OmniMD Version 11.0 is also CCHIT Certified 2011 Ambulatory EHR with a five-star usability rating.

“We are excited to join the iOn network allowing thousands of users on the OmniMD EHR platform to connect to a growing list of labs across the country on the iOn network. iOn will help us to expand our reach and most importantly help our providers achieve ‘Meaningful Use’ objectives,” said OmniMD CEO, Divan Dave. OmniMD is one of the first EHRs that has embedded ATLAS’ proven clean order technology as part of its complete EMR solution. The solution retains all of feature-rich ATLAS order entry functionality, which is familiar to nearly 150 labs around the country and the tens of thousands of physicians they serve.

“We are pleased to have OmniMD join the iOn network allowing their physicians instant-on access to labs across the country,” states Robb Larsen, Strategic Business Development Manager for the iOn network. “iOn has drastically reduced lab to EMR integration time. We’ve created a faster, better and more cost-effective solution that is attractive to labs and EMR vendors alike.”
