Aprima Earns High Marks at Holy Name Medical Center

DALLAS, July 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Holy Name Medical Center (HNMC) in Teaneck, NJ, announced today that Aprima Electronic Health Record (EHR), Practice Management (PM) and revenue cycle management (RCM) software has completed its pilot project and is ready for distribution to hospital-affiliated physicians under the federal Stark guidelines. The Aprima software passed extensive acceptance testing—including speed, functionality, and interfaces—to reach this benchmark.

The Aprima system will enable physicians to receive and share patient data with HNMC's custom hospital information system, known as WebHIS, as well as providing complete charting, practice management, and revenue cycle management functionality.  The Aprima system has the potential to be rolled out to as many as 800 doctors affiliated with the hospital.

Dr. Craig Hersh, Physician Medical Information Officer at the Holy Name Medical Center, led the testing and used the Aprima software in his sports medicine practice. We do hundreds of X-rays, and they all come through Aprima, instead of arriving in large boxes of reports that we have to sort and file.
