TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), the largest global AIDS organization which serves over 15,000 Floridians living with HIV/AIDS through a variety of programs throughout the state including eight AHF Pharmacy locations, will join forces with Barry M. Rodwick, M.D., a respected longstanding medical provider in the Tampa Bay area serving patients who have medical issues that many other physicians in the area have been unwilling or unable to care for. Effective October 1st, Dr. Rodwick will merge his ‘Health Positive’ practice, which currently serves approximately 800 HIV-positive individuals and more than 125 transgendered patients, with AHF, which currently has four other healthcare facilities in Florida. The newly merged facility, which will be known as the AHF HEALTH POSITIVE/Tampa Bay, will remain at its current location: 3135 State Road 580, Suite #1, Safety Harbor, FL 34695 tel: (727) 725-9931.

“I have served the Tampa community as an independent medical office for the last eighteen years and take pride and enjoyment in providing specialized care to patients that have medical issues that not many other physicians have been willing or able to manage,” said Barry M. Rodwick, M.D. “Once we have joined forces with AHF, we will continue seeing all of our ‘Health Positive’ patients: those living with HIV/AIDS, those that do not have HIV, transgendered patients and others. This collaboration with AHF will enable us to provide even more services and increased availability to all the patients we have been treating. We will continue to accept almost all new HIV and transgendered patients. I am very excited about this new association with AIDS Healthcare Foundation and see many great things coming from it.”

“One of our eight AHF Pharmacy locations in Florida is situated right next to Dr. Rodwick’s ‘Health Positive’ offices in Safety Harbor, and our pharmacist at that facility, Cheryl Graziose, has had a great working relationship with Dr. Rodwick and his staff. We are honored to now formally join forces in this AHF Health Positive clinic and have a respected medical provider like Dr. Rodwick join our AHF family,” said Michael Kahane, AHF Bureau Chief, Southern Region, US. “This collaboration allows Dr. Rodwick to continue caring for his patients and to expand his services to others who may also be in need.”

“Our partnership with Dr. Rodwick in the new AHF Health Positive center in the Tampa Bay area follows a longstanding AHF tradition in which we try to locate our health care centers and pharmacies in easily accessible, community-based settings,” said Michael Weinstein, President, AIDS Healthcare Foundation. “We thank Dr. Rodwick for his years dedicated to caring for many underserved populations throughout Tampa. We are also very fortunate that he will carry on sharing his medical expertise with patients via this partnership.”
