Aetna, OSS Orthopaedic Hospital Reach Agreement

YORK, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Aetna (NYSE: AET) and OSS Orthopaedic Hospital announced that they have reached agreement on a new three-year contract, expanding network access for Aetna members in York County. With this agreement, Aetna members can receive covered benefits, at in-network rates, from OSS Orthopaedic Hospital.

“Aetna is very happy to add OSS Orthopaedic to its network of contracted hospitals in York County,” said Joseph Petonak, Aetna’s vice president of network operations for the Central Pennsylvania market. “With this agreement, all four hospitals in York County now participate in Aetna’s network, providing our members with great flexibility.”

Todd Lord, chief executive officer of OSS, said, “OSS is excited to partner with Aetna to continue to meet the orthopaedic and spine needs of Aetna’s members in York County and its surrounding areas.”

Aetna provides health benefits to more than 1 million members in Pennsylvania, including more than 21,000 in York County. Members in that county have access to a network that includes all four contracted hospitals and more than 850 primary care and specialist physicians.
