10 Sheridan Healthcare Hospitals Receive “A” Grades in Leapfrog Hospital Survey

., a hospital-based, multispecialty physician services company and the leading anesthesia services provider in the country, announced today that 10 of its affiliated hospitals received A grades in an annual hospital survey conducted by The Leapfrog Group. Sheridan hospitals made up more than half of the Dade, Broward and Palm Beach county facilities to receive A grades. Only 37 percent of hospitals in Florida received A grades.
The Leapfrog Group, a national not-for-profit organization, launched its Hospital Survey in 2001 to assess hospital performance based on national performance measures. These measures and practices cover a broad spectrum of hospital services, processes and structures. The Survey also provides hospitals with the opportunity to benchmark their progress in improving the safety, quality and efficiency of the care they deliver.
