Q2 Earnings Report


  • Net income in Q2 2010 was $65.6 million, or $.67 per diluted share, down from $80.9 million, or $.82 per diluted share, in Q2 2009. 
  • Net revenues jumped 3 percent to $1.34 billion, as compared to $1.30 billion during the previous year's second quarter.
  • At UHS acute care hospitals, adjusted admissions increased 1.9 percent, while adjusted patient days increased 0.3 percent during the second quarter of 2010, as compared to Q2 2009.
  • At UHS behavioral health care facilities, on a same facility basis, adjusted admissions increased 4.7 percent and adjusted patient days increased 2.4 percent, as compared to Q2 2009.
