Hospitals in California are all over the map in terms of what they charge for surgeries, according to a new report from the CALPIRG Education Fund. The highest-priced hospitals charge as much as 2.7 times that of the lowest-priced facilities, according to the report, with hospitals in the Bay Area likely to be the most expensive.
