SPOTLIGHT: States reporting big jump in Medicaid spending

Though there are signs that the overall economy is improving, there are still problems that continue to trail along in the wake of the economic disasters of the last couple of years. One example is the number of people enrolled in Medicaid programs, which continues to climb quickly. A new report from the Kaiser Family Foundation suggests that continued Medicaid enrollment spikes are pressuring officials to make cutbacks, even with help in place from the federal government.
