Large hospital layoffs growing

The flat economy and cuts to Medicaid reimbursements have been leading to large layoffs of hospital personnel throughout the nation, reports FierceHealthcare. According to U.S. Bureau of Labor statistics, more than 1,700 hospital employees have lost their jobs through mass layoffs in July and August.
