Hospital surgical mortality rates vary greatly

Hospitals are all over the map regarding survival rates for high-risk surgeries, according to new data released by the Leapfrog Group. Not only that, the report concluded that survival rates over the past five years have not improved significantly for any of the procedures and have actually declined for the repairs of abdominal aortic aneurysms.
