Milwaukee-based Metavante Technologies, an online banking company that last year bought BenSoft in hopes of improving its healthcare payment solutions, is now itself being bought, by Jacksonville, FL-based Fidelity National Information Services. Metavante currently serves about 8,000 financial firms. When it bought BenSoft, Inc. in January 2008, the company's goal was to utilize BenSoft's RepayMe solution, which provided aid for health plans by creating flexible spending accounts, health reimbursement accounts and health savings accounts, among other things.
