CMS needs long-term vision

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services lacks a coherent vision for the future, according to former administrator Donald M. Berwick, who stepped down from the agency after completing a recess appointment. "What's missing is a kind of coherence and consolidated strategic vision of where to head next," he told Kaiser Health News.
