C-shape changes occur as hospitals move forward

The shift toward value-based care is reshaping the hospital executive suite in a variety of ways. That includes creating new senior level positions for population health and related initiatives, to oversee incentives to keep hospital operations and outcomes properly aligned, and for mobile healthcare and the development of related apps. Creating and empowering such positions is also part of an effort to make the traditional hospital hierarchy more horizontal and more holistically focused on operations and the bottom line.
