Arizona supports Medicaid expansion

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer wants her state to participate in Medicaid expansion as part of the Affordable Care Act, reported MSNBC. Expanding Medicaid in Arizona would inject as much as $2 billion in the state's economy, Brewer said in her State of the State address. Refusing to expand the program, however, would have meant the loss of funding that likely would have gone to other states. Arizona is now the third state with a Republican governor who has indicated it will participate in Medicaid expansion. Gov. Susana Martinez of New Mexico and Brian Sandoval of Nevada also are onboard. Article
