Surescripts announced this week that it is adding 19 health information exchanges and other entities to its health information network. The information to be shared includes test results, medication histories and summaries of patient visits. New participants in the network include Cerner, the Health Information Exchange of Illinois, Iowa and Maine, Quest Diagnostics and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
