SPOTLIGHT: EMR stimulus and rural hospitals

HealthLeaders magazine goes out on a limb this month with a little prognostication. "You have a tremendous amount of potential and a narrow time frame, but all of the indications so far show a lack of interest in rural," says National Rural Health Association CEO Alan Morgan. Still, small-town hospitals can have successful EMR implementations by showing a little ingenuity, as Midland (TX) Memorial Hospital can attest to. Article
