Starting tomorrow, truck drivers stopping at a Pilot Travel Center in Oklahoma City will be able to get medical care from a high-tech clinic. The new facility, run by Sarasota, Fla.-based Roadside Medical Clinic + Lab, will have a full-function EMR, clinicians armed with iPads and telemedicine connections available for remote consultation with specialists. Roadside Medical will open similar facilities next month in Waco, Texas, and East St. Louis, Ill., and has plans for six more EMR-equipped clinics nationwide by the end of the year. Article
